Quick tip for floor tape installation success

One of the most challenging Set in Order steps for 5S practitioners is getting floor tape to last in heavily traveled areas. I've written a free report found here about this exact topic but for now here's a quick tip.

Assuming your using heavy duty tape with pressure sensitive adhesive make sure to tamp the tape into the surface. Tamping is simply applying excessive weight onto the tape. This process will press the adhesive into the floor. Most people just use their hand or foot to put pressure onto the tape. This is insufficient and will not provide the best adhesion.

So, there you go. A simple success tip for floor tape installation.

If you have any questions regarding floor tape installation feel free to reply to this post. I'll be sure to get right back to you.

Best wishes,

David Visco
