As we all know there are 5 steps to 5S. Many folks think Shine is just the cleaning. What does the Shine step mean to you? What do you do?

I look forward to seeing your responses

Hi David,

Shining is like a daily/regular inspection.  It maintains the first 2S.  Our full opinion can be read here: Shining is to make problems obvious

Great input Mary. Thank you for contributing. I agree that the benefit that Shine brings is to help make problems more obvious. It also helps keep people involved as well as improve employee safety.

Sincerely,
